Leeds United midfielder Stuart Dallas out with rare femoral fracture, unlikely to be back in 2022/23 – Injury Expert

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Leeds United...

Dr Rajpal Brar does not see Stuart Dallas returning to action for Leeds United season after being ruled out with a thigh injury since April 2022.

The injury expert believes that it’s a rare injury that he’s got which is why it’s taking him so long to return to action.

The Northern Irishman is out with a femoral fracture and this January even had a clean up done in that area to ensure he was on the right path to recovery.

Given how exhausting and physically demanding games in the Premier League are, it seems highly unlikely that Leeds fans will get to see Dallas in action again this season.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said, “He had a rare femoral fracture (rare for footballers) and then a follow-up procedure in January as well to help clean up the area.

“I’d be surprised if he returned this season because he will return to relatively high-intensity games with Leeds looking to avoid the drop and that is a lot to ask for after missing the entire season.”

The 31-year-old will have another year left on his Elland Road contract at the end of this season so Leeds are at no risk of losing him on a free.

It remains to be seen what player the versatile midfielder-cum-right-back is on the other side of his recovery and whether Javi Gracia, or whoever is in charge of the club at the time, decides to keep him.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites may have yet another injury concern going into the international break as player has trouble with his left ankle after the Wolves win.
