Leeds United midfielder Stuart Dallas edges closer to return after injury

Leeds United midfielder Stuart Dallas reportedly spent time training outdoors but heavily restricted his involvement.

According to LeedsLive, the midfielder is slowly getting back to full fitness after a long-term injury that ruled him out for several months.

He is yet to feature for the Whites this season and will be expected to be part of the matchday squads from here on in after the season resumes.

Leeds United

Makes sense

Dallas has been a long-term injury absentee so it makes sense to ease him back to full fitness.

Even if he plays no part in the friendly games, it’s fully understandable as right now all he cares about is being fit.

Jesse Marsch knows that he may not be the same player he was before his injury but will still be counting on him for the second half of the season.

His versatility makes him a Swiss Army knife and we all saw how well he thrived under Marcelo Bielsa’s tutelage.

Junior Firpo’s frailties at left-back will make Dallas an interesting option in case the Whites do not sign a new one over the winter window.

Similarly, he can also put in a shift at right-back as well as central midfield so we’re excited to see him back and hopefully, he does not have any further setbacks.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are now scouting an attacker at the World Cup and a January move appears to be on the cards for them.
