Leeds United midfielder sends two-word message to Ipswich star Leif Davis – ‘Unbelievable’
Leeds United Under-21s midfielder Morten Spencer has sent a two-word message to former Whites left-back Leif Davis after his goal for Ipswich against Southampton.
Davis scored from an improbable angle to open the scoring ahead of a dramatic game in which the Tractor Boys earned a 3-2 victory following substitute Jeremy Sarmiento’s 97th-minute winner.
Spencer lauded his former teammate’s role in Ipswich’s win at Portman Road – despite Leeds’ own title aspirations – with a comment on social media that read: “Unbelievable brother”.
‘Unbelievable’ Leif Davis a loss for Leeds United
Davis was allowed to depart Elland Road for Ipswich on a permanent basis in the summer of 2022, immediately after returning from a season-long loan to Bournemouth.
The full-back struggled to earn a regular spot at both Leeds and Bournemouth but quickly cemented himself as a crucial player for the Tractor Boys in League One – and has maintained his dazzling form since returning to the Championship with his new employers.

In fact, Davis is the division’s leading assist-provider, creating 16 goals from left-back so far this season. His strike against Southampton at Portman Road, meanwhile, was his second of the campaign.
Leeds boast two very capable left-backs of their own in Junior Firpo and Sam Byram, but it is difficult to argue that Davis – who would surely fit in well under head coach Daniel Farke – would not improve the side.
As it is, the Whites can only watch on as their former academy product dazzles for their Championship title rivals.
