Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich pictured training at Elland Road amid increasing transfer speculation

Fresh footage has emerged of Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich training with his teammates at Elland Road amid ever-increasing speculation that he will leave the club in January.

The Polish international has fallen out of favour under Jesse Marsch this season after several stellar seasons for The Whites, including his key role in the club’s promotion to the Premier League in the 2019/20 season.

But the midfielder is still hard at work with the first team ahead of their return to Premier League action against Manchester City on Boxing Day, as Leeds United’s official YouTube account released a video of their training.

Klich was pictured looking happy during a gym session and hard at work on the training field as Leeds prepared for their friendly with Real Sociedad on Friday (16 December).

Good to see

The ever-likely news of Klich’s exit will sadden Leeds fans, as the midfielder has been a loyal servant of the club since joining in 2017.

Although Klich probably wanted to leave the club in the summer, as first-team minutes became less and less likely, he remained professional in what could have otherwise turned into a sour situation.

Even during his final weeks at the club, Klich is enjoying his time at Elland Road and taking in every last second of the club which have helped him become a regular Poland international over the years.

The pictures of him smiling and enjoying what could well be preparations for his final match at the club are a welcome sight for fans, and he will hope to be given a start by Marsch in the friendly against Sociedad.

His winning goal against Elche last week highlighted there’s still an abundance of talent in Klich’s ever-ageing feet, so D.C. United will be wanting to get the transfer confirmed as soon as possible.

In other Leeds United news, despite fresh reports from Italy, Leeds remain favourites to sign Premier League attacker Adama Traore.
