Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich could leave due to World Cup aspiraitons
Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich may consider leaving this summer as he would want to play in a World Cup year.
That’s according to LeedsLive journalist Beren Cross who claims that for the first time since moving to Elland Road, he may contemplate leaving the club.
Klich has been an ever-present player for the Whites as he featured in 33 of their 38 Premier League games last season.

Makes sense
While we would like him to stay beyond this summer, it does make sense from his perspective to leave if an offer comes his way.
This will be his last World Cup for Poland as he’s already 32 and even if he’s playing four years later he will have declined.
If he does not feature regularly in this upcoming campaign then there’s a very good chance that he may not be included in the squad that travels to Qatar.
With Tyler Adams and Marc Roca coming in and Brenden Aaronson set to play in the number 10 position, Leeds’ system appears to be sorted and Klich may only be a bit part player in it.
These undoubtedly are precious few weeks and it remains to be seen if Victor Orta and Jesse Marsch will look to make certain assurances.
Ideally, the Pole should be a regular in the first half of the season as Adams and Roca don’t have Premier League experience and the same can be said about Aaronson as well in case Marsch sees Klich as an attacking midfielder.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have submitted a fresh bid to sign their first-choice target this summer as a Champions League club has pulled out of the deal.
