Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Bogusz spotted leaving Ibiza training ground ahead of potential LAFC transfer

Mateusz Bogusz’s time as a Leeds United player and loanee at UD Ibiza could come to an end by this weekend after footage of him surfaced online.

A video shared by Spanish media outlet Esports IB3, shows him leaving the training ground and he explained to them that he will be leaving without confirming the destination.

Spanish publication COPE [23 March] reported that Leeds are welcoming the 21-year-old’s exit who looks set to join Los Angeles FC.

Via Twitter, Esports IB3 wrote, “Mateusz Bogusz may cease to be a UD Ibiza player imminently. The Pole has just left Can Misses. He didn’t train with the team today. Next destination: the US league.”

That seals it

He’s told the publication that he’s on his way and video footage backs it up that he did not attend training on Thursday, 23 March.

This all but seals his exit and the move is perhaps now only a matter of official announcement with everything appearing to be done.

Bogusz was never likely to break into the first team so the news of him leaving permanently is not something that will affect fans.

They will be hoping that the club gets some money as a transfer fee as he’s been on the club’s payroll since 2019 without ever looking like a senior player.

The move to the MLS could be ideal for him to find his footing and perhaps improve his performances in a league that’s grown leaps and bounds over the last few years.

It’s clearly a step up from the Spanish second division for him and the Polish midfielder has plenty of time on his hands to reestablish his career.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites may have yet another injury concern going into the international break as player has trouble with his left ankle after the Wolves win.
