Leeds United mentioned as £6m Marco Silva exit development emerges at Fulham
Leeds United are on the lookout for a new manager for next season and Fulham boss Marco Silva has emerged as a potential candidate for the role, according to Daily Mail journalist Sami Mokbel.
The Whites formerly announced the sacking of Javi Gracia and hired [3 May] Sam Allardyce as his replacement for the rest of the season as they look to fight off relegation in their remaining four Premier League games.
There has been talk of Allardyce potentially getting the role on a permanent basis after this season, but should Leeds United avoid relegation, they could be looking at a more attractive name to take over the helm.

And according to Mokbel [9 May], Silva could have a long list of potential suitors for his services this summer after the tremendous job he’s done at Fulham over the last two campaigns.
The Portuguese coach holds a £6m release clause in his contract at Craven Cottage.
“Mail Sport understands the terms of Silva’s existing deal allow him to be released from his deal for a price of £6million.
“Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Leicester and Southampton could all be in the market for a new head coach ahead of next season.
“Silva is likely to be a candidate for those jobs at the end of the season which could complicate Fulham’s attempts to tie him to a long-term contract, although the former Watford and Everton boss is understood to be happy in West London and is open to signing an extension”, Mokbel reveals [9 May].
Attractive name
Silva has done a remarkable job at Craven Cottage so far, winning promotion back to the Premier League last season and this season having them just a few games away from confirming a top-half finish in their return.
The Portuguese coach is certainly an attractive name to the Leeds United bosses as he is a manager not only capable of transforming the club off the field but on it too.

The Whites will almost certainly be on the lookout for a new manager for next season, and attracting any top name in the game will be incredibly difficult should they fail to avoid relegation.
Leeds United can only dream about appointing Silva at the helm or any other candidate they’ve been linked with in the not-too-distant past, but their perilous position in the table right now means any plans to appoint a long-term project coach remains on the back-burner.
Allardyce seems willing to remain at Elland Road in the foreseeable future and should the Whites fall victim to another Championship campaign next year, the former England and Blackburn Rovers boss may just prove their best chance of getting back into the Premier League.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites will be without four first-team players for their Premier League clash against Newcastle United on Saturday (13 May), according to injury expert Ben Dinnery.
