Leeds United may terminate Helder Costa contract with him unlikely to play again

Helder Costa is reportedly not likely to play for Leeds United ever again with his future at Elland Road looking bleak.

According to LeedsLive, the 28-year-old is likely to leave on loan this summer with the potential to terminate his contract ahead of the start of the 2023/24 season.

Costa still has a couple of years left on his deal at Elland Road and he has been linked with a move away.

Get rid as soon as possible

Costa’s future at Leeds is close to being non existent and we’re surprised why they’re not looking to sell him permanently this summer.

There might not be a market for him thus far but if he’s available at a discounted fee, clubs may be willing to take the punt on him.

If Leeds are to terminate his contract, they will have to pay him a certain compensation which they can avoid by cashing in on his services this summer.

They should not expect too much as he’s a player on the decline but whatever they get must be taken as a bonus.

Costa is currently proving to be a liability and the hierarchy would rather have him off their books sooner rather than later.

Hopefully, we find a quick resolution about his future in the coming weeks rather than him registered as a Leeds player for another year.
