Leeds United may end up sealing major signing based on World Cup form with Andrea Radrizzani in attendance

Andrea Radrizzani could be playing the role of a scout for Leeds United as he was seen attending a number of World Cup games.

He could be there for official reasons as well but there’s a good chance that he will have an eye on players Leeds could potentially sign in January.

He did watch Belgium play and there are links to Charles De Ketelaere despite him snubbing a move to Elland Road to join AC Milan.

On 27 November, the Italian was also seen at the Spain v Germany game and it seems like he’s attending a lot of games over the course of the tournament.

Clubs often tend to sign players on the back of form over major tournaments and if the recommendations come from the owner, the hierarchy and manager will be likelier to consider it.

Radrizzani could also be told by the club to touch base with a few players that Leeds have been linked with over a potential move to Elland Road.

Bamba Dieng is one such player who had been extensively linked with a move to Leeds and we will not be surprised if the links resurface on the back of the World Cup.

Hopefully, a striker and left-back are prioritised in January itself rather than the summer because Premier League safety is far from guaranteed and things need to change or Jesse Marsch could find himself back in a relegation dog fight.

In other Leeds United news, a first-team defender may not have long left at Elland Road after “Awful” footage emerges from this month, making a January transfer imperative.
