Leeds United may consider former Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre along with Javi Gracia
Leeds United could reportedly consider approaching former Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre for the vacant Elland Road hot seat.
According to the Sun journalist Alan Nixon, they would preferably go for an out-of-work manager and does not rule out a renewed pursuit of Alfred Schreduer as well.
Favre could be the second name on the shortlist after Fabrizio Romano claimed that former Watford manager Javi Gracia was the other one.
Via Twitter, Nixon wrote, “It’s musical chairs. A new one every other day. Need to be out of work preferably. Favre possible and I still wouldn’t dismiss Schreuder re-emerging.”
Makes sense
Favre is a two-time league winner and has experience of managing in the Champions League as well so interest in him does seem to make sense.

Leeds clearly do not have a plan in place and that’s why sacking Jesse Marsch seems like a poor choice given how things have panned out.
Michael Skubala clearly is not good enough to keep this side out of relegation trouble and Favre could walk into Elland Road and garner the respect of the dressing room.
Dortmund prioritise a style of football that Leeds fan were accustomed to under Marcelo Bielsa so we do not expect too much of a change in terms of that at least.
It remains to be seen if they do end up going for him as currently, it looks like Gracia is the preferred choice of the hierarchy.
Both seem to be decent appointments and have their own pros and cons but at this point, Leeds will rather take in anyone given how disastrous this managerial process has been.
