Leeds United could look to capitalise on Armando Broja’s Chelsea situation by launching a big-money bid for the Albanian striker.

According to 90Min, the Blues are looking for £50million to part ways with the 20-year-old – which would certainly smash the Whites’ transfer record.

However, they could look to bring down the price as the striker is desperate to play regular football and he would be guaranteed that at Elland Road.

Chelsea have received bids of little more than half than valuation and given how late it is in the window, they may be tempted to cash in on his services.

Even in the game against Spurs on August 14, Thomas Tuchel opted to play a three-man attack of Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount rather than starting a number nine.

Broja, who was on the bench, came off it for the final few minutes and surely he would want more minutes under his belt this season and has been linked with a move to Elland Road. [Dean Jones]

Patrick Bamford’s injury means that any striker they sign will be thrown straight into the eleven and they will get the time to adapt as he’s likely to be out for a few weeks.

The Albanian is certainly an upgrade on all of the backup options Leeds have.

Dan James came off the bench against Southampton and was woeful, to say the least.

Rodrigo has played as a striker in the past but seems to have found his home playing as an attacking midfielder and there’s no real need to change that.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites now have a clear run to sign a £20m-rated left-back as their Premier League rivals have now bowed out of the race.
