Jesse Marsch reveals conversations behind Leeds United maestro Tyler Adams rise

Jesse Marsch has revealed that behind-the-scenes conversations were key to unearthing Leeds United maestro Tyler Adams’ elite form for club and country.

Adams has been sensational for the USA national team at the FIFA World Cup, carrying on his bright Whites form into the tournament.

Marsch confessed that the American can be “elite” in the modern game, admitting he knew this before he joined Leeds United in the summer of 2021.

“Tyler for me, when he can play with confidence and intensity and display his athleticism and his intelligence combined, he can be elite,” said Marsch speaking on the Men in Blazers podcast on YouTube.

“I knew that before he came to Leeds and the key for me was having these kinds of conversations to unearth it more and get him on track and allow him to be himself.”

Fantastic.

Adams is flourishing in this rich vein of form and it’s fantastic to witness from a Leeds United standpoint.

And the fact he’s doing it on the grandest stage of them all at the FIFA World Cup makes it even more mesmerising.

The American absolutely bossed things in the middle of the park for his nation against England on 25 November 2022, leaving players like Declan Rice and Mason Mount in awe.

His terrific form will be desperately needed for Leeds United this campaign if the club stand any chance of propelling themselves up the Premier League table.

It just goes to show the kind of young talents the club currently have, at just 23-years-old Adams hasn’t even hit the peak of his powers yet.

The only problem the Whites may face from Adams’ frightening form is keeping him at the club, there will no doubt be a lot of attention around his name now.

In other Leeds United news, we can exclusively reveal that a takeover by the 49ers could be done within weeks.
