Leeds United manager news: Final stage update emerges with weekend announcement on the cards

Leeds United reportedly appear to be closing in on the manager of their choosing with Angus Kinnear and Paraag Marathe conducting the search.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the final stages of the appointment process are expected to be concluded by Friday, 23 June.

An announcement, however, appears to be on the cards for the weekend with interviews ongoing throughout this week.

Vieira or Farke?

The race appears to be down to the former Crystal Palace manager or the former Norwich City one.

Both of them have managed in the Premier League before, but only one has guided his team to two promotions from the Championship.

It remains to be seen what the Leeds board prioritises as Vieira managed to stabilise Palace in the top flight before things started to go south.

For Farke, he never had the funds to spend at Norwich due to their transfer policy but in the Championship, he managed to help his side stand out from the rest.

Both managers have their pros and cons just like any manager they will interview and it will be a surprise if a fresh candidate emerges.

The race seems stacked between these two former Premier League managers and it remains to be seen which one ends up getting the job.

In other Leeds United, a BT Sport pundit has delivered an “Incredible” verdict as a frontrunner has emerged for the Elland Road hot seat.
