Leeds United manager news as four interviews now completed – Adam Pope
Leeds United have completed interviews for four managerial candidates in their search for Jesse Marsch’s successor, according to BBC journalist Adam Pope.
The Whites’ search for a new manager continues to rumble on after Feyenoord manager Arne Slot publicly announced he would not be leaving the Eredivisie league leaders for Elland Road. [Voetbal International, Friday 10 February]
The lack of progression this week has resulted in Under-21s manager Michael Skubala taking up the role of caretaker manager, and he confirmed he would be in the dugout for the upcoming clash against Manchester United this Sunday. [Phil Hay, 12 February]

And taking to Twitter to provide an update on the managerial hunt (Friday 10 February), journalist Pope wrote: “Slot is currently ruling himself out of Leeds United job in the Dutch press today.
“The club have interviewed four main candidates, and the process continues to provide a successor to Jesse Marsch.”
Tick tock
When Marsch was sacked by Leeds United, many fans hoped a contingency plan had been planned and a swift appointment would be made as a result.
However, the last week has been nothing short of a nightmare for Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani as they move from one candidate to another at an alarming rate.
After Carlos Corberan signed a new contract at West Brom, and Rayo Vallecano blocked Andoni Iraola from moving to West Yorkshire, the list of original candidates is being whittled down at quite some rate.
As this process continues to stretch out, the worry among Leeds fans will be the upturn in form that several teams around them in the Premier League have witnessed in recent weeks.
With a tough home match against Manchester United awaiting this weekend and teams such as Everton and West Ham turning a corner, the race against time to get a manager through the door is on.
