Leeds United manager news as Carlos Corberan and Graham Potter named already
Graham Potter and Carlos Corberan have emerged as two names to take over the manager role at Leeds United, as reported by the Daily Mail [30 May, Page 66].
Potter and Corberan have been mentioned as potential successors to Sam Allardyce, following the club’s relegation to the Championship, with the latter having a release clause at West Brom.
Big Sam’s future is yet to be confirmed, beyond the short-term deal he agreed to lead the Whites through to the end of the ill-fated Premier League season.

Despite the uncertainty that surrounds the Whites at present, the Mail report from Ian Ladyman and David Coverdale suggests that the role is still an attractive prospect.
“There is no shortage of interest in the job,” they said.
“One intriguing name is Graham Potter, Leeds would suit the former Brighton and Chelsea manager in many ways. He could build again from the bottom up and would find promising young players to work with.
“West Brom manager Carlos Corberan is a former Leeds Under 23 coach and has admirers at Elland Road. He signed a new contract at West Brom earlier this year but it has a release clause.”

Direction and leadership
As set out in the feature, the manager position is one of several crucial matters that required attention just now.
The problem is that Andrea Radrizzani doesn’t have his eye on the ball, amid his involvement in taking control of Sampdoria in Italy.
He could yet stick around in West Yorkshire but that would not be good for the club, given developments in the few weeks. 49ers Enterprises appear ready and waiting on the sidelines to make a deal happen, but as ever, it will all come down to the money.
Relegation has prevented the pre-agreed deal from being signed off, leaving the current impasse to be resolved.
Leeds sorely requires direction and leadership in the boardroom in order for those same qualities to be stamped on a new-look squad ahead of a massive campaign in the months ahead.
Any new manager will want to know what structure they are working within, as well as who they are answerable to.
