Leeds United manager news as Andrea Radrizzani stunned by Brendan Rodgers
Brendan Rodgers is under consideration to be the next manager of Leeds United, according to a report from the Daily Star.
The recently departed Leicester City boss is said to be admired by Andrea Radrizzani, amid the ongoing uncertainty on and off the pitch at Elland Road, but no approach has yet been made to the man from Northern Ireland.
Sam Allardyce was said to be keen to stay on with the Whites after he managed just one point from a possible 12 in a forlorn attempt to keep the club in the Premier League, but that is no longer happening.

In an exclusive story by Jeremy Cross, the chief sports writer for the Star, the desire for the 50-year-old was outlined.
“Brendan Rodgers has emerged as a shock target of Leeds,” he said.
“Leeds chairman Andrea Radrizzani is a huge admirer of Rodgers and has added him to his shortlist of candidates to become the club’s next permanent boss.
“Rodgers has been out of work since Leicester sacked him in April following a run of six league games without a win.
“But it remains to be seen if the former Liverpool boss can be tempted to take charge of Leeds following their relegation to the Championship.”

Uncertainty
With the ownership wrangle still to unfold and plans to be made for the club’s return to the Championship, the Leeds supporters are craving direction and leadership.
However, until stability is in place at the very top of the club, there is next to no chance of landing a coach such as Rodgers.
There is plenty to admire at a big club like Leeds, but as Allardyce has already stated, what is the plan, what about the budget, what direction is the club taking and when? There are just too many questions to be answered, at present.
Radrizzani’s status, and intentions, should be known very soon given the ongoing situation with Sampdoria which only complicates matters even further.
The catalyst for change and progress can only take effect once the ownership saga ends and from there, sound leadership can provide a base for the rest.
In other Leeds news, a fresh twist appears as a new name emerges from France in the Whites manager hunt.
