Leeds United manager news as agreement in place to extend Javi Gracia contract past this season
Leeds United have an agreement already in place to extend Javi Gracia’s contract past this season should he succeed at Elland Road, according to the Daily Star.
The report claims that Leeds United are expected to conclude their deal to make Gracia their new head coach within the next 24 hours.
With the process of Gracia seemingly speeding up, it’s likely that the Spaniard will take charge of Leeds United for their clash against Southampton on 25 February.

“The Premier League strugglers are expected to appoint Gracia in the next 24 hours. Gracia will be handed a deal until the end of the season, with an agreement to make it permanent should he keep the club in the top flight,” as quoted by the Daily Star. (20 February)
Gracia faces an uphill struggle to get the Whites season back on track amidst a massive fallout over the club’s leadership in recent weeks.

Onwards and upwards.
The West Yorkshire faithful will be more than pleased to hear that a deal is finally about to be concluded for a new manager to take over the reigns from Jesse Marsch.
And just in time for a must-win relegation six-pointer against Southampton, if there was ever a time for a new manager bounce it’s on Saturday afternoon.
Leeds have the squad to cause teams in the Premier League some real problems, it’s all about utilising this youthful team now to become an actual threat and build some confidence within its ranks.
Hopefully, this is something Gracia can do and his previous Premier League experience with Watford should put him in good stead to hit the ground running.
All it takes is a few good performances and results on the bounce to lift the dreary mood around Elland Road and Gracia will be praying he can turn things around for this team.
Tricky ties against Fulham, Chelsea and Brighton then face Leeds United after their clash against the Saints this weekend.
Gracia certainly has it all to do.
