Leeds United man Rodrigo hailed by Jamie Carragher
Leeds United man Rodrigo has been praised by Jamie Carragher for his involvement in the first goal against Newcastle.
Raphinha opened the scoring as he whipped in a cross that looked destined for Rodrigo’s head.
However, the little Spaniard dummied the ball, and this deceived Karl Darlow, and the ball flew into the net.

Carragher said on Sky Sports: “It’s a cross but Rodrigo, with his run across and dummy, fools the goalkeeper.”
He also said: “He has been outstanding in this first half.”
Good work by Rodrigo.
The 30-year-old has not had the best of times at Elland Road since he arrived in 2020, and has scored less than ten goals for the Whites.
However, this was a moment of genius that, unfortunately, counts for very little on the statistics, but it was the reason the Whites took the lead.
The ball in by Raphinha was fantastic, and if Rodrigo had tried to head it in, he might have got a goal, but his dummy was brilliant and totally threw Darlow off the scent.

The Spanish international has been described as a “class act” by Phil Hay in the past, and this was a clever moment from the forward [The Phil Hay Show].
Hopefully, this will signal a turning point in Rodrigo’s season as he hasn’t started well.
However, this was brilliant and shows what Rodrigo is capable of when he is in the mood.
In other Leeds United news, Jamie Carragher had a go at Marcelo Bielsa in the first half.
