Leeds United man Darko Gyabi sends three-word message as Newcastle United transfer news emerges

Leeds United midfielder Darko Gyabi has sent a three-word message to Lewis Hall after the defender joined Newcastle United.

The player has moved to the Magpies on a season-long loan from Chelsea, as per the official Newcastle website (22 August).

The club added that the deal includes an obligation to make the transfer permanent next summer based on performance-related criteria.

Smart move?

Hall is a very versatile player, and already boasts some Chelsea first-team experience, making 12 appearances for the West London club.

But given that the 18-year-old is competing with the likes of Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella for regular playing time under Mauricio Pochettino, it certainly makes sense for the youngster to make a move elsewhere.

At Newcastle, he will seemingly only be battling it out with Dan Burn for a spot at left-back, at least in the Premier League anyway, with Hall certain to be given time in other competitions, such as the small matter of the Champions League.

It is definitely an exciting time to be a Magpies player, and Hall should develop well under the tutelage of manager Eddie Howe.

Gyabi meanwhile is another player who may be looking towards the various cup competitions for minutes at Leeds, with the youngster playing just 45 minutes this season, with those coming in the League Cup win over Shrewsbury Town.

In other Leeds United news, a journalist has mooted a new signing at Elland Road to prevent one Whites player from “burning out.”
