Leeds United man Adam Forshaw discusses what went wrong v Brentford

Adam Forshaw admits a moment of “chaos” cost Leeds United in their 1-1 draw against Brentford at Elland Road.

The 30-year-old started yet another game for Marcelo Bielsa’s side on Sunday and lasted 90 minutes and helped the Whites secure a late draw.

Leeds actually opened the scoring, but Brentford hit back and looked to be heading for all three points until Patrick Bamford popped up with a late equaliser.

After the game, Forshaw said to LUTV [via Leeds Live]: “Personally, I can’t help but be a little disappointed. We were obviously in the driving seat first half, the end of the first half, and felt quite comfortable.

“Yeah, it was a little bit of chaos, changes of marking, things like that, whether it was out or not on the touchline, I’m not sure.”

Leeds made to pay for one moment.

The Whites were in control until early in the second half when Kalvin Phillips appeared to suffer an injury, and the Bees took advantage.

They equalised and then scored a second seven minutes later to potentially win the match.

However, the Whites dug and came up with a massive goal that edges them onto 16 points.

They are now six points clear of the relegation zone and are above the likes of Everton and Soouthampton.

It was great to hear Forshaw after the match sound so annoyed with a draw.

The fact he was disappointed with a draw after Leeds scored a late equaliser shows that he is an ambitious and determined player who will stop at nothing to get the win.

Most players would be delighted with a point in the circumstances, but the Whites will go far if they keep players with that sort of mentality in their squad.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites could be hit with a fine from the FA after an incident against Brentford.
