Leeds United make Jack Harrison replacement decision after Fiorentina announcements
Jack Harrison’s departure from Leeds United hasn’t even been officially confirmed, and a decision has already been made about any replacement.
Harrison is all set to join Fiorentina on loan in the coming days, having been pictured in his new colours earlier this week.
The 29-year-old has undergone his medical in Italy and will spend the rest of the season with the Serie A side, who also hold a £6million option to buy.
However, Daniel Farke has taken his new system into account when going back into the market.
Leeds unlikely to sign new wing-back
Facundo Buonanotte was announced as Leeds’ first January signing on Thursday, joining on loan from Brighton until the end of the season.
The Argentine spent the first half of the campaign at Chelsea, but made just one Premier League appearance for the West London side.
Buonanotte was an unused substitute as Leeds beat Fulham 1-0 on Saturday, so he will have to wait until next Monday’s trip to Everton to make his debut.
With Harrison leaving on loan, some Whites fans may have expected Farke’s side to go back into the market to find a replacement.
However, according to Leeds Live, the Elland Road outfit are not considering another wing-back this month, where Harrison mostly played when used.
Leeds feel as though they already have enough options to cover his departure, with wingers also able to fill in where needed.
How will Jack Harrison’s exit affect Leeds
Harrison has looked likely to leave Leeds for several months now, after struggling to win his place back in the team.
The 29-year-old spent two years on loan at Everton before returning to Elland Road last summer with the Whites back in the Premier League.
However, Harrison has started just one league game this season, playing only 263 minutes of top-flight football in total.

He was already so far down the pecking order under Farke that his exit will do little to unsettle the Leeds squad, who are flying right now.
With the likes of Jayden Bogle, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sam Byram and James Justin able to play at wing back, the West Yorkshire side have more than enough options to cope until the end of the campaign.
