Leeds United make approach to sign Alex Nubel amid Illan Meslier exit twist
Leeds United have made an approach to sign Bayern Munich goalkeeper Alex Nubel, according to the Daily Mail.
The approach comes as the Whites prepare for offers for current shot-stopper Illan Meslier, who could leave Elland Road this summer.
Meslier lost his place in the starting XI towards the end of last season, with Sam Allardyce replacing him with Joel Robles.

“Leeds United have asked about Bayern Munich keeper Alex Nubel as they anticipate offers for Illan Meslier,” according to the Daily Mail (page 72, 14 July).

Offers expected
Leeds are expected to lose several players this summer after their relegation from the Premier League, and goalkeeper Meslier looks certain to be one of them.
The likes of Robin Koch and Brenden Aaronson have already left temporarily, with Marc Roca, Tyler Adams, Rasmus Kristensen and Wilfried Gnonto among others potentially joining them.
It was inevitable after the disappointing campaign last time out, with Meslier having even more reason to leave after what happened to him on the pitch last season.
The young goalkeeper made one too many errors in the Premier League, leaving Allardyce with perhaps no choice but to opt for the more experienced Robles upon his arrival in the dugout.
Leeds, therefore, shouldn’t miss the Frenchman too much next season should he depart Elland Road in the coming weeks.
Moreover, they should be in for quite a hefty fee for his services despite the errors between the sticks, with Meslier having lots of potential to shine at another club.
