Leeds United make £31.4million + bonus promise for Charles De Ketelaere as AC Milan issue ultimatum
Leeds United have now made a promise of £31.4million plus bonuses to sign Club Brugges star Charles De Ketelaere, according to La Gazetta Dello Sport.
The newspaper has reported in its print edition [19 July, pg. 12/13] that AC Milan will not go above £27.1million, despite already agreeing on personal terms with the Belgian wonder.
It is then shared that Milan have issued an ultimatum of take it or leave it to Club Brugges, as they look to get a deal pushed through as soon as possible.

Things are really starting to spice up now.
Leeds are looking at other options, but they have not taken their bid off the table, and now it seems they have promised that money to Brugges, possibly in an effort to sweet talk them.
De Ketelaere wants a move to the San Siro, but should that not happen, would he rather stay in Belgium than go to the Premier League? We think not.
It has been made clear that Leeds can meet his personal term demands, so that should be no issue and this one is far from being over despite Milan wanting to push it through.

Ultimatum?
This may not be a very wise move from AC Milan.
They are forcing an answer from a club rather than upping their bid, despite the fact that there is a club, in this case the Whites, offering much more money.
Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani are playing this very smartly, and are trying the long game.
With a bid firmly on the table which matches Club Brugges’ valuation, and offers going in elsewhere for other targets this summer, anything is possible.
De Ketelaere may soon have a decision to make, and the longer Milan look to play hardball, the worst their case may get for sealing this blockbuster new signing.
Leeds are desperate for this monster new transfer, and although their chances remain very slim, they are staying in the race and making sure their big-money offer is turning heads.
This week may finally bring the answer, fingers crossed.
