Leeds United: Luton Town to make permanent Cody Drameh move – Fabrizio Romano
Luton Town will now make “every effort” to sign Leeds United full-back Cody Drameh, according to the Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano.
The Hatters were promoted to the Premier League on Saturday after beating Coventry City 6-5 on penalties in the Championship playoff final.
Drameh spent the second half of the season at Kenilworth Road and Romano has revealed (via Twitter, 29 May) that Rob Edwards will now pursue a permanent move.

It’s believed Vincent Kompany’s Burnely are also interested in the 21-year-old right back.
“Luton Town’s Rob Edwards will make now every effort to make Cody Drameh deal permanent after getting promoted to Premier League,” said Romano
“Luton will try to beat off competition from promotion rivals Burnley.”
No surprise
This should come as no surprise. Luton will now have a little more cash in their coffers and that could see the right back move back to Kenilworth Road. It’s a tough call for Leeds to make. Drameh has previously rejected offers to sign a new contract in West Yorkshire and could well be looking to push for a permanent exit.
However, there’s clearly a player there who could make an impact for Leeds in the Championship. With Rasmus Kristensen and Luke Ayling underperforming this season, there’s a place for Drameh within the squad. It’s up to the board to get the footballing structure at Elland Road up to scratch.

With there being no sporting director and uncertainty over Sam Allardyce’s future, talking about transfers could be somewhat naive. A new boss could have a completely different idea of how to run things at Elland Road.
Potentially looking to move a few of the older heads on and recruit some exciting Championship talent could be the route to go down.
