Leeds United locked in talks over personal terms as Tyler Adams transfer nears - Sky Sports

Leeds United are already locked in talks with RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams over his potential wage at Elland Road, according to Sky Sports.

It has been reported that the Whites have already fired an offer across for the American international, which should be worth up to £12.9million.

The move is already being described as “very concrete” as Jesse Marsch looks set to get his preferred candidate to replace Kalvin Phillips, who has now joined Manchester City as Leeds jump into talks with Adams.

Sky Sports in Germany are even confident to say that Adams is already on his way to the Premier League.

Victor Orta looks to have moved quickly with this bargain deal on the cards, with a permanent move now looking like the most probable outcome.

That is despite the likes of Phil Hay reporting last week that it was likely to be an initial loan move with an option to buy maybe even included for the end of the 2022-23 season.

We all know how quickly things can change in the transfer window, though, and it looks as though Adams is now available for a bargain price of just over £10million.

Here We Go.

It looks as though we are very close to those three famous words.

Adams is clearly desperate for the move to Elland Road, and Marsch has made his feelings clear that he wants his fellow countryman in West Yorkshire as soon as possible.

With wages now being discussed, it may be safe to say that a bid may have been accepted.

Bringing in a player who has captained his country and featured heavily in the Champions League for below £13million could be a real bargain, and Victor Orta has to be saluted for that.

Leeds are always ready to move quickly when a deal like this arises, it happened with Dan James, with RB Leipzig signing Xavier Schlager meaning a chance to take advantage arose.

These will now be immediate wage discussions with Adams to become a new signing as Phillips’ exit has been confirmed, and now it is time to focus on those incomings.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites now want to sign this striker with a rival set to kickstart a major £30million+ transfer battle
