Leeds United have sent a number of their promising younger players out on loan at the beginning of this season.
Bryce Hosannah has moved to Bradford City and has been one of their shining lights despite the Bantams have a less-than-impressive start.
The defender was due to meet fellow Whites youngster Alfie McCalmont on Tuesday, but he was a notable absence from the Papa John’s Trophy clash.
That omission has since been explained on Wednesday.
The Yorkshire Evening Post has reported that Hosannah has been ruled out with a hamstring injury in the past week.
Stuart McCall’s side lost 3-1 against Oldham but should have the Leeds youngster back sooner rather than later.
Although it is a hamstring problem, the report claims that it is only a “slight” issue and shouldn’t affect his loan move in the long-term.
Hosannah has been one of few positives at Bradford this season.
After a draw with Bolton a couple of weeks ago, many Bantams fans shared their delight with the full-back on social media after a dreadful start to the season.
McCall recently spoke out on his promising start at Valley Parade, but he did admit that they have to manage him properly to avoid injuries.
That doesn’t appear to have worked, and Hosannah’s work-rate has actually worked against him in this case – fingers crossed it’s not for too long.
