Leeds United loanee Cody Drameh in injury limbo at Birmingham City
Leeds United loanee Cody Drameh missed Birmingham City’s 2-0 defeat at Coventry City on Friday night adding to manager Wayne Rooney’s mounting injury list, according to Birmingham Live.
The Midlands news outlet, sharing on 8 December, added that Drameh along with former Wolves defender Dion Sanderson both missed the game with ankle and foot injuries respectively.
Drameh who made the move to St Andrew’s over the summer on a temporary loan deal, so far making 13 starts for the Blues and was expected to start against Coventry but suffered the injury in training on Thursday.

“Sanderson and Drameh’s absences add to Rooney’s problems. Blues have fresh injury blows to Ethan Laird and George Hall this week, with Kevin Long, Keshi Anderson, Tyler Roberts and Alfie Chang already on the sidelines”, wrote Birmingham Live.
Blow
The way Birmingham City are faring under Rooney’s stewardship so far, Drameh could well be back at Elland Road sooner than expected with the Blues suffering since the Manchester United legend took over.
In his nine games in charge, Birmingham have only won once and lost five taking only five points and leaving them languishing just two points off the drop zone in the Championship table.

Rooney was expected to provide an update on Drameh’s latest blow after the game but no new development has emerged leaving the Leeds United loanee’s situation in a current limbo right now.
Drameh’s return and possible involvement in the Whites’ first team is currently up in the air right now with Leeds reportedly considering offering the defender a new contract to secure a compensation fee, as Drameh has no intention of accepting the terms [Phil Hay, 17 November].
The way Daniel Farke’s men are faring in the Championship right now, a Premier League return may well be on the horizon.
With Luke Ayling’s deal expiring at the end of the season and Spence having only been signed on a season-long loan, there is every chance that Daniel Farke’s side could be promoted to the Premier League with Gray and Shackleton as their only right-back options.
The ball is in his court after his loan in the West Midlands.
In other Leeds United news, a “brilliant” player currently having an impact at a former rival side is the one man wanted back at Elland Road from the loanees.
