Leeds United links to striker Arnaud Kalimuendo clearly indicate Jesse Marsch future plans

Leeds United are eyeing a move for exciting forward Arnaud Kalimuendo – and the 20-year-old is another indication of the type of player Jesse Marsch is targeting.

As revealed by The Independent’s Miguel Delaney on Thursday 16 June, the Whites have made a £17.1million bid for the PSG youngster, who has spent two seasons on loan at Lens.

The links to the Kalimuendo further display that Marsch is looking to add younger players who will make an instant impact at Elland Road.

It feels as if this summer will be a period when a new era starts at Leeds United and it wouldn’t be a shock to see some high-profile departures this summer.

With Leeds potentially looking at the PSG youngster as a striking option, questions could well be raised over Patrick Bamford’s future.

Bamford is 28 and has been a superb servant for Leeds United over a number of years but there is certainly a feeling of a changing of the guard this summer.

The England international will not be content playing a bit-part role at Elland Road in the 2022/23 campaign considering his age and the stage that he is at in his career.

The Leeds stalwart will be relishing the chance to play with Brenden Aaronson, who could well be an excellent source of creativity for the Whites and Bamford.

However, the England man will be concerned with the younger and more dynamic player that Marsch is targetting and what that will potentially mean for his future.

It is certainly exciting times at Elland Road with Leeds’ early business a real statement of intent for the club hierarchy that has got fans looking forward to the 2022/23 campaign.

In other Leeds United news, one of our Premier League rivals have had to pull out of the race to sign this player as we are asking for too much money compared to their summer budget.
