Leeds United transfer links to Boulaye Dia to go through roof if he does well at World Cup
Leeds United will see links with Villarreal striker Boulaye Dia go through the roof if he performs well at the FIFA World Cup for Senegal, according to GIVEMESPORT.
Dia may be about to become a breakout star on the international stage as he’ll be relied on to bag goals for Senegal in the absence of Sadio Mane.
The report claims that if Dia does “well” at the World Cup, Leeds United, West Ham and Everton may all step up their interest in the 26-year-old.
“Senegal take on Netherlands on Monday and if Dia does well we can expect links with the likes of West Ham, Leeds and Everton to emerge,” as quoted by GIVEMESPORT.
The striker is currently on loan from Villarreal at Salernitana and has impressed thoroughly during his spell in the Italian top flight.
One to watch.
The Whites faithful will have to keep a close eye on Dia during the FIFA World Cup, if he performs to the best of his abilities they could well make a move.
Dia presents an interesting proposition for Leeds United, he’s an out-and-out poacher and completely different to anything the club currently have in their ranks.
He’s an absolute handful for defenders and his physicality and pace could suit the fast-paced nature of the Premier League.
The Senegalese striker is definitely a star in the making and the World Cup will be a good opportunity to see how he copes at playing on the grandest stage of them all.
Tie this in with the fact that Leeds will be wanting to make a move for a number nine in January, the timing could prove to be perfect for both parties.
It’s unclear how much Dia would cost Leeds, but if he has a good World Cup, his price tag will likely skyrocket.
