Leeds United-linked Stuart Webber ‘lengthy’ notice period emerges
Stuart Webber will have to serve a “lengthy” notice period at Norwich City as Leeds United eye the 39-year-old to fill their vacant sporting director role, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post.
Webber resigned from his role at Carrow Road on Tuesday after spending six years with the East Anglia side.
The Athletic’s Phil Hay reported on 13 June that Webber has been spoken about in West Yorkshire, with the club still on the lookout for Victor Orta’s replacement.

However, the YEP have since claimed the former Liverpool chief will have to serve a significant notice period as Norwich a eye replacement.
Spanner in the works
This could well prove to be a spanner in the works for Leeds. Particularly if they want to land Webber in the coming weeks.
A new sporting director and manager are needed before the rest of Leeds’ transfer plans can be put into place.
Exits will have to occur at Elland Road.
Marc Roca has already been tipped to depart, with Real Betis keen on the Spaniard. There have also been rumours surrounding Rodrigo and Crysencio Summerville in recent days.

Decisions on these players will have to be made in order for the Whites to kickstart their summer business. Work will have to be done to the squad – however, it’s extremely difficult to mould a squad when you don’t know who you what the end goal is.
The sooner the sporting director and permanent manager are in place, the better. With Championship looking back to its hardest again next season, Leeds could find themselves languishing behind if they aren’t careful.
In other Leeds United news, Sky Sports have shared that new player contract talks have begun at Elland Road already
