Leeds United likely to sign left-back to offer cover and competition to Junior Firpo
Leeds United will be reportedly looking to sign a left-back in the summer to offer cover and competition to Junior Firpo.
According to Eurosport journalist Dean Jones, signing a player in that position could be a priority for the Whites.
They do not have an out-and-out left-back to replace Firpo and have had to ask Stuart Dallas to fill in that position whenever the Spaniard’s been missing.

He told Give Me Sport, “You would imagine they might even look to sign somebody else to compete with him [Firpo] for next season.”
Makes sense
Loaning Leif Davis at the start of the season proved to be a questionable move.
With Gjanni Alioski already gone, the club needed to sign a replacement and have Davis stay put as a backup.
However, they felt Firpo and Dallas would be good in that department and have been proven wrong.
Both players have looked suspect defensively this season and it’s time the Whites bring in someone who prioritises that part of the game.

There needs to be a balance in the team and everyone should not just look to attack and constantly make it into the final third.
Hopefully, they start looking for players now so that they have plenty of time to get the deals over the line.
This summer will be a big one as it will be Jesse Marsch’s first in charge and he would have a certain type of player in mind.
