Leeds United likely to rake in seven figures due to Elia Caprile transfer development
Leeds United may be on the cusp of raking in seven figures this week which could help them towards financing a signing or two this summer.
With the number of players leaving on loan, the Whites have not got the true valuation in transfer fees and just a nominal loan amount due to clauses in their contract post relegation.
Thus far, they’ve only managed to get Ethan Ampadu over the line and a number of players still look to nearing the exit door.

However, they could be handed a windfall from an unlikely source as former goalkeeper Elia Caprile looks to be joining Napoli.
According to Calciomercato [24 July], he will soon sign a new contract at the current Serie A winners until the summer of 2028.
Leeds, who sold him to Bari last summer, were smart enough to include a sell-on clause – of which they’re now set to become benefactors.
Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that they are now on course to make seven figures from the 21-year-old’s sale to Napoli.
“There is the ok between Napoli and Bari for the transfer of Caprile. After today’s contacts, the parties have now reached the final documents of the negotiation,” he wrote (21 July).
“The goalkeeper will sign a five-year contract and the price tag is around 6-7 million euros (£5.2m-£6m) with 25% going to Leeds, his former club. The goalkeeper will then go on loan to Empoli.”

This undoubtedly is money that the Leeds hierarchy will welcome and hopefully use to strengthen the first team.
There need to be at least four more new signings assuming nobody else leaves now barring Max Wober.
More exits may see the need to bring in more new players so right now the Whites are playing it by ear while also working on their desired transfer options.
