Leeds United: Liam Cooper sends Sam Greenwood message after what he did in last 24 hours
Liam Cooper has sent Leeds United loanee Sam Greenwood a message after what he did in the last 24 hours.
The 21-year-old scored the winner for Middlesbrough, where he is currently on a season-long loan, against the Whites’ promotion rivals Leicester City in a 1-0 victory at the Riverside Stadium.
The attacking midfielder posted a video of his match-winning free-kick on Instagram on Saturday (11 November), with Leeds captain Cooper responding with “MOT”.

Massive
The superb effort from Greenwood could prove to be massive for Leeds as it meant they cut the gap to Leicester to eight points following their 2-1 win over Plymouth Argyle.
Cooper and the several other Whites players who messaged the attacking midfielder were clearly delighted by his contribution to their promotion bid.
The Englishman has now registered four goals in 12 Championship appearances this season, with all of those strikes coming in the past six games.

Greenwood has been crucial to Boro’s climb up the table in recent weeks after nailing down a place in the starting lineup following a difficult start to the campaign.
He will be hoping to continue putting in some excellent performances on Teesside ahead of returning to Elland Road at the end of the season to fight for his place in the Whites side.
