Leeds United: Liam Cooper mocks Dan James live on stage in Australia

Leeds United captain Liam Cooper has made a joke out of his Whites teammate Dan James whilst on stage during their pre-season tour of Australia.

The pair were arriving on stage at a Q & A when Cooper sarcastically offered to help James up to his chair due to their significant height difference between the pair.

Luckily for Cooper, the room burst [footage by Graham Smyth] out in laughter at the Leeds captain’s antics, with the 24-year-old winger taking the joke well.

Good spirits

Even Leeds’ boss Jesse Marsch raised a smile when Cooper performed his on-stage antics which displays a feel-good factor amongst the group.

It is crucial that the American looks to maintain the good feeling around Elland Road for as long as possible after their last gasp survival at Brentford on the final day.

Leeds’ summer additions have certainly raised the mood around the club.

The Whites managed to beat Brisbane Roar 2-1 in a preseason friendly on Thursday with James and Joe Gelhardt on the scoresheet for the Yorkshire side.

Despite the seemingly good mood around the camp, Leeds’ preparations will ramp up in the coming weeks with the Whites facing Crystal Palace and Aston Villa in the coming days as their preparations for the new Premier League season ramp up.

It feels very much like the start of a new era at Elland Road this summer and Marsch must ensure that he keeps the buzz around the club with more positive results in the coming weeks against sterner opposition.

It may only be preseason, but building a winning culture will be essential for the American going forward.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that a midfielder who was admired by Marcelo Bielsa is set to leave this summer.
