Senne Lammens follows Jesse Marsch on Instagram with Leeds United in advanced talks to sign him

Club Brugge goalkeeper Senne Lammens has followed Jesse Marsch on Instagram after it was revealed Leeds United are in advanced talks to sign him (8 January).

It remains to be seen whether or not Lammens will make the switch to Elland Road in January or next summer, as he doesn’t want to extend his Brugge contract.

Nevertheless, the follow of Marsch on Instagram may suggest that a move to Leeds United will be sooner, rather than later for the young shot-stopper.

Lammens evidently wants out from the Belgian giants and seems to be playing every card in his hand to force his way out of the Jan Breydel Stadium.

In the modern game, there is no better place than social media platforms like Instagram for talents to get their message across and the young goalkeeper is doing just that with this cheeky move.

Interesting acquisition.

This is an interesting acquisition from the Whites with the club already well stocked in the goalkeeping department with Joel Robles and Kristoffer Klaesson playing backup to Illan Meslier.

Although, this could mean that Lammens is being brought into Elland Road as a potential replacement for Meslier who continues to be linked with top European teams (Foot Mercato, 3 January).

Victor Orta and co are making multiple moves in the January transfer window though and signing the Brugge goalkeeper may just be part of the club’s bigger plan.

With Max Wober already acquired from RB Salzburg and the arrival of France Under-21 international Georginio Rutter imminent, there will be plenty of fresh faces this month at Thorp Arch.

It’s an exciting month to be a Leeds United fan and hopefully, the new signings will bring with them some good fortune to West Yorkshire.

This could be the last throw of the dice for Marsch whose results simply haven’t been good enough to warrant him staying on as head coach much longer.

In other Leeds United news, Fabrizio Romano has dropped a major update on World Cup star Azzedinie Ounahi’s potential January move to Elland Road.
