Leeds United: Kristensen to jet into England on Wednesday for medical – Sky Sports

Rasmus Kristensen will jet into Leeds to undergo a medical ahead of signing for Leeds United on a permanent basis from Red Bull Salzburg, according to Sky Sports Austria.

The broadcaster relays Fabrizio Romano’s claim on 7 June that a deal for Leeds to sign Kristensen, 24, is done and that he’ll undergo a medical on Wednesday (8 June).

Sky Sports Austria adds that the right-back, who’s currently on international duty with Denmark, will take a break from the Nations League action to arrive in Leeds on Wednesday for his medical checks.

If Kristensen is going to be in England on Wednesday then you can assume that he’ll undergo his medical, sign his contract, have his pictures taken in a Leeds shirt and then be officially unveiled as Jesse Marsch’s second signing as the United manager.

He’s currently in the Denmark squad and played for the Danes when they beat Austria 2-1 in Vienna on Tuesday night (6 June).

It’s been a very impressive start for Denmark in their Nations League group as they currently sit top of their group with two wins from two against France and Austria.

Denmark’s next match is against Croatia on Friday (10 June) so you can assume that as long as Kristensen is back with the squad by the end of Wednesday, he’ll be involved in that match in Copenhagen’s Parken stadium.

Kristensen started the game against Austria but against France, he had to make do with coming off the bench.

If he’s doing all this flying around and missing a day of training then you’d imagine he’ll be back on the bench for the showdown with 2018 World Cup runners-up Croatia.

Kristensen should be a good signing for Leeds.

Let’s hope all goes well with his medical and his signing is announced by the end of the day.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have been told to bomb this big-money player out of Elland Road by terminating his contract.
