Leeds United keeping transfer tabs on Che Adams ahead of deadline day
Leeds United are keeping tabs on Southampton forward Che Adams ahead of the 11pm transfer deadline on 31 January, according to talkSPORT.
The report claims that Leeds United aren’t the only team interested in the Scotland international with Everton also being long-term admirers.
Nevertheless, talkSPORT are reporting that Southampton will not entertain any bids for Adams in the next 24 hours who are in a relegation battle of their own.
“Southampton will not entertain bids for striker Che Adams before Tuesday’s 11 pm deadline,” as quoted by talkSPORT. (30 January)
“Everton are long-term admirers of Adams having tried to sign the Scotland international in the summer and would be open to securing his services if the opportunity arose.
“Leeds are also understood to be keeping tabs on Adams’s situation.

“But with Saints desperately short on goals and struggling to recruit a new No9, Adams is a key part of their relegation escape plan and his departure has not even been discussed by the board.”
No Che.
Do Leeds United honestly need Adams in their squad right now? Not really, Jesse Marsch has plenty of forward options fit and firing to choose from.
Patrick Bamford is back and loving life again and Rodrigo alongside January signing Georginio Rutter gives the American more than enough options up top.
This alongside a heap of silky wingers like Willy Gnonto, Jack Harrison and Crysencio Summerville to choose from, the Whites have a sure amount of firepower without another addition.
Bolstering the defence should be the next point of call when the time is right, the Whites have signed Diogo Monteiro but it’s unclear how much of a role he’ll play in the first team.
And now with the exit of Diego Llorente, there is definitely room in the squad for another senior defender to come into the mix at Elland Road.
Nevertheless, this will likely be a void to fill in the summer transfer window, granted Leeds United are still playing Premier League football by that point.
