Leeds United join Everton in the race to sign Harry Winks
Leeds United have joined the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Harry Winks, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Merseyside newspaper wrote on their online edition on 29 June that the Whites are likely to challenge Everton for the signature of the England midfielder, who is highly likely to leave the north London club.
Everton are keen on a loan move whereas Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is hoping to secure a £20m fee for the midfielder.

The report adds that Winks’ current valuation could well drop the longer the transfer saga drags on.
Good addition?
Winks struggled to make an impact for Spurs under Antonio Conte and the club are looking to get rid of him.
The player himself wants to move on and join a club where he will be valued, where he will get regular games to resurrect his career.
Leeds are close to losing their key midfielder Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City this summer, and Jesse Marsch needs to bolster the midfield, despite signing Marc Roca.

Winks is a different type of midfielder compared to Phillips. He is not a box-to-box midfielder and doesn’t bring raw energy in the middle.
He is rather someone who is very good at ball retention, maintaining possession and spreading out short passes. The midfielder is good at tackling and reads the game well.
Winks excelled under Mauricio Pochettino and probably needs a fresh move to reignite his career. While he prefers a move to Everton, the Whites can tempt him and Spurs to join Elland Road with a good offer on the table.
In other Leeds United news, Marcelo Bielsa tried to sign this striker in January but his agent has now confirmed that they are looking to leave Real Madrid this summer.
