Leeds United: Joe Rodon refuses to speak to Glen Kamara after win v Millwall

Joe Rodon has admitted that he is refusing to speak with Leeds United teammate Glen Kamara ahead of Wales’ clash with Finland this week.

The central defender and midfielder both started and performed well as the Whites claimed a 2-0 win over Millwall to move to the top of the Championship.

But in an interview with The Mirror (19 March), it was revealed that the Spurs loanee admitted that he won’t be speaking to his teammate ahead of the international game on Thursday where the winner edges closer to Euro 2024 qualification.

Leeds United need unity in the squad

One of the key reasons that Leeds have been able to be so consistent and perform so well this season is because they have been so united.

Early season issues with the likes of Wilfried Gnonto have been dealt with perfectly with the Italian initially being left out but now playing a hugely important role in the run of victories in recent times.

Luis Sinisterra was allowed to leave and has now been sold permanently, while Djed Spence was sent away from the club when issues began to emerge.

Obviously this is a non-issue between Rodon and Kamara, but the hope is that it doesn’t stupidly become one if something happens in that big international game.

In an ideal world they’d both go through, but they can’t. Hopefully they can stay competitive in the build-up, as that’s what makes them successful for Leeds, but can put it behind them immediately and focus on the task at hand in the Championship.
