Leeds United: Jesse Marsch sends admirable texts to players after sack
Former Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch sent text messages to each one of his former players to thank them for their efforts during his stint at the club, according to the Daily Mail.
Marsch was relieved of his duties at Elland Road following the club’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, however, the American still hasn’t been replaced.
The Daily Mail lauded the “magnanimous” effort from Marsch to his former talents after it was arguably their efforts that got him sacked.

“Outgoing Leeds boss Jesse Marsch was shown the door last Monday afternoon and did not have time to address his players one final time as they had already finished training,” as quoted by the Daily Mail. (12 February)
“The American instead took the trouble to contact each one of his former charges individually to thank them for their efforts – a magnanimous thing to do given some might think it was those efforts that got him the sack.”

Risking it all.
No one ever argued the fact that Marsch was a nice guy but his sacking was the correct decision to move the club forward.
Nevertheless, the search for a new head coach has so far been pathetic and the fact numerous managers have turned down the head coach’s role is worrying, to say the least.
It seems former Ajax boss Alfred Schreuder is now the favourite to take over at Elland Road in what could be a risky move from the Leeds hierarchy.
The Dutchman had a calamitous end to his spell at the Dutch giants and whether or not he has the skills to guide Leeds United out of a relegation battle is up for debate.
There are arguably better-suited managers to do so on the market currently but it feels like the Leeds board wants someone to come in for the long term.
With all the twists and turns fans have already been plagued with in recent days it would hardly be surprising for a move for Schreuder to fall through.
The Elland Road faithful will just have to wait and see with this one.
