Jamie O'Hara predicts result of Leeds United v Newcastle for TalkSport

Jamie O’Hara has shared his verdict on the Premier League clash between Leeds United and Newcastle on December 31 at St James Park.

The game promises to be a hotly contested matchup, with both teams playing an attractive brand of attacking Premier League football.

O’Hara admitted that Newcastle are “flying” at the moment and their good form may be the deciding factor in the outcome of the game.

“Newcastle are flying, I expect them to win this one 3-1,” said O’Hara on speaking on the TalkSport Edge app.

Fierce fixtures.

Leeds United and Newcastle have a long history of playing against each other in various competitions and fixtures between the pair are always fierce.

They have played a total of 115 matches against each other, with Leeds United winning 42 times, Newcastle United winning 41 times, and 32 matches ending in a draw.

Both clubs have faced off in a variety of competitions, including the English Football League, the FA Cup, and the League Cup.

Some notable matches between the two clubs include a 5-0 victory for Leeds United in the FA Cup in 1970, and a 4-3 victory for Newcastle United in the Premier League in 2002.

In recent years, the two clubs have faced off in the Premier League, with Newcastle United winning the most recent match between the two clubs, a 1-0 victory in January 2022.

Whatever the case may be, O’Hara’s prediction of a 3-1 Newcastle win seems a bit of a stretch, the Whites have every chance of coming out on top in this one.
