Leeds United: Jaidon Anthony update shared ahead of Millwall clash
Jaidon Anthony is expected to be available for the Championship clash between Leeds United and Millwall on Sunday (17 March).
The 24-year-old missed both victories over Stoke City and Sheffield Wednesday, as he was attending his mother’s funeral, but is expected to be back in the squad against the Lions.
On loan from Bournemouth this season, Anthony has emerged as a trusted member of Daniel Farke’s squad, making 28 appearances and registering two goals and two assists.
Writing for Leeds Live on Wednesday (13 March), Beren Cross said: “Jaidon Anthony has been missing from the last two matchday squads for the Whites, but he is expected to be available this weekend.
“Anthony’s mother’s funeral took place last week, ruling him out of contention for the week.”
Could Jaidon Anthony start for Leeds United v Millwall?
Anthony will have appreciated the compassion shown by Farke and the club, with the player handed some time off to come to terms with a horrible loss.
Considering the current form of Crysencio Summerville on the left wing, and Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto on the right flank, it is unlikely that the loanee will be involved in the starting XI.
However, the return of Anthony will still be seen as a huge boost at Elland Road, with the winger possessing the ability to make an impact off the bench if called upon.

Though he has only managed two goals and one assist for the Whites this season, the 24-year-old proved his ability against Chelsea in the FA Cup on Wednesday 28 February, grabbing assists for both of Mateo Joseph’s goals at Stamford Bridge.
Anthony last made a league start in October against Stoke, with the form of the likes of Crysencio Summerville, Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James meaning he has struggled to break into the starting XI.
