Leeds United international round-up: Joe Rodon scare as ace faces possible UEFA investigation
Leeds have several players away representing their country in the September international break.
Off the back of Leeds’ draw with Newcastle and an underwhelming end to the summer transfer window, several stars have jetted off with their country to take part in the World Cup qualifiers.
While many will see this an uneeded interuption three games into the season, others will see it as a chacne for players to showcase their woerth to their current clubs.
Jaka Bijol is the perfect example for Leeds, having yet to make a start in the Premier League since arriving from Udinese.
With that in mind, MOT Leeds News rounds up all of the biggest stories from the past week of international encounters.

Daniel Farke relieved after Gabriel Gudmundsson update
Gabriel Gudmundsson was brought in to replace the departed Junior Firpo this summer, and the early signs have brought mixed results.
Gudmundsson was dreadful in Leeds’ defeat to Arsenal, but has showed promise in the other encounters.
After an injury scare emerged in the draw against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle, fans were quick to question the severity of the concern.
However, Gudmundsson played a full 90 minutes for Sweden on Friday night, subduing any concerns over his fitness.

Joe Rodon suffers injury scare with Wales
Under Farke, Joe Rodon has been a mianstay in the Leeds side, even after their defensive overhaul this summer window.
However, while on international duty, Rodon was forced to withdraw from the Wales squad, after concerns emerged over an injury.
An immediate update was provided on the central defender, with it claimed that the injury isnt deemed to be anything serious.
That will be another sigh of relief for Farke, who will want his squad to return from duty unscathed ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Ilia Gruev involved in Lamine Yamal controversy
Ilia Gruev started for Bulgaria in their defeat to Spain on Thursday, though it was a moment off the ball that caught the attention of many.
Lamine Yamal was furious with Gruev, who appeared to kick the Spaniard in the back after the ball had gone out of play.
When speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Keith Hackett suggested Gruev could face an investigation from UEFA in regard to the incident.
“The matter will be investigated if the incident is brought to the attention of the match delegate,” Hackett said.
“It looks unlikely if the on-field officials have seen it and acted by not taking any action, as authorities have a reluctance to re-referee incidents.”
