Leeds United injury to Tyler Adams not good for health of fans after more chaos v Wolves
Tyler Adams picking up a new hamstring injury will not be good for the health of Leeds United fans, according to Daniel Storey.
The Whites travelled to Wolves on Saturday 18 March and left with all three points in a 4-2 victory, with the absence of the American bringing back the chaotic side.
Javi Gracia has tried his best to make this Leeds side more solid at the back, but Adams missing out led to absolute carnage at Molineux, something that thankfully paid off.
Writing in his weekly review for iNews, Storey insisted that the latest news from Elland Road will not be good for the health of those sitting in the stands.
“Chaotic Leeds are back,” he wrote. “Javi Gracia explained after the 4-2 win that he wanted to attack Wolves from the start, perhaps to exploit their own lack of confidence, and then sit back and defend the lead.
“One explanation (if only because I’m trying to save face after writing ‘Leeds are boring’) is the absence of Tyler Adams in midfield. Gracia insisted that Weston McKennie and Marc Roca played well in his absence, but there is no doubt that Adams is a massive loss because of the work he gets through.

“Adams has missed only three league games this season, and it’s probably just as well for the health of Leeds supporters. Across those three games, Leeds have conceded eight goals and allowed their opponents to take 60 shots.”
Timely.
With a fortnight now between the next fixture, a trip to the Emirates Stadium to face leaders Arsenal, closely followed by a crucial relegation six-pointer at Elland Road against Nottingham Forest, Gracia will have time to judge the severity of his star midfielder’s injury.
If Adams does fail to return to fitness for the double-header, the home fixture the following weekend against Crystal Palace will be a necessity as Leeds chase vital victories in their battle against the drop.
Goals win games however and whilst concerns about one end of the pitch are slightly at the back of the mind troublesome, the faithful won’t mind seeing the goal bulge at the other end.
Marc Roca and Weston McKennie were solid enough with help from their back four, and it did see Leeds attack with more fluency with the latter involved more heavily.
This is a real dilemma to solve should he return on time after the break, with the majority of fans wanting Adams back in the side if he is available – over to you, Javi.
In other Leeds United news, long-planned contract negotiations have “not progressed” leaving Elland Road exit door open.
