Leeds United injury news as Max Wober faces late fitness test v Liverpool, Tyler Adams out
Leeds United defender Max Wober is set for a late fitness test for the club’s Premier League clash against Liverpool at Elland Road, according to the Daily Mail.
Wober has been out of action since sustaining a hamstring injury while on international duty with Austria in March, missing Leeds’ last three Premier League games.
Javi Gracia’s team have conceded ten goals in the three games that Wober and American international Tyler Adams have been sidelined since the international break.

The midfielder, who underwent surgery in March for his hamstring injury, is ruled out of Monday night’s game (17 April).
“Max Wober faces a late fitness test after missing the last few games,” the Daily Mail wrote (Saturday, 15 April, page 113).
“He has trained this week.”

Boost
Wober has quickly made himself an indispensable figure at Elland Road since joining the club in the January transfer window, and his return could be a massive boost for Gracia.
The Austrian is a calming presence in the heart of defence, and he has struck up a strong partnership with Robin Koch in his short time in West Yorkshire.
Wober is also extremely important to the freedom that left-back Junior Firpo can be awarded in Gracia’s side.
Whenever Wober starts at left centre-back, Firpo is awarded so much freedom to venture into the final third with the knowledge that the Austrian can fill in any holes he leaves in defence.
Against what will likely be Mo Salah on the right wing, having Wober as an extra line of defence could be extremely vital to Leeds’ chances of nicking a result.
Hopefully, the late fitness call will reveal that Wober is ready for action because Leeds sorely need him.
In other Leeds United news, a months-long Whites transfer pursuit has now intensified for a sought-after Premier League prospect.
