Leeds United injury news as Marc Roca picks up knee problem, ruled out v West Ham
Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca is ruled out of the Premier League clash against West Ham United on Sunday (21 May) with a knee injury, according to the Daily Mail.
Sam Allardyce revealed that the 26-year-old was one of five injured players in his press conference on Friday (19 May) but didn’t elaborate on the specific issue.
Roca has quickly become a mainstay at Leeds United since signing from Bayern Munich for £10million last summer, making 31 appearances this term.

The Daily Mail [20 May, page 110] shared in their starting lineup news that Roca would miss the clash against the Hammers at the London Stadium with a new knee injury, while Liam Cooper remained a doubt with a groin issue.

Big blow
After impressing in his debut season as a Premier League player, losing Roca at this crucial juncture is a massive blow to Allardyce and his coaching staff.
Considering that Tyler Adams is already sidelined with a hamstring injury, Leeds are now precariously short of options in the middle of the park.
Adam Forshaw is still on the road to full fitness following his length injury layoff, so he is unlikely to play a full 90 minutes against West Ham, while Weston McKennie has struggled for form since joining from Juventus in January.
The showdown against the Hammers is a must-win game for Leeds United and their hopes to maintain their Premier League status.
Considering Everton have a pair of favourable-looking fixtures against Wolves and Bournemouth, Leeds simply need to pick up at least a point heading from their trip to the London Stadium.
Hopefully, Roca will only be absent for this clash and will be firing on all cylinders to face Spurs at Elland Road next week.
