Leeds United in the hunt to sign Los Angeles FC midfielder Jose Cifuentes
Leeds United have set their sight on singing Los Angeles FC midfielder Jose Cifuentes, accordinhg to a report from EL Futbolero.
The website reported on 9 August that the Whites want to take him out of the Major League Soccer and bring him to the Premier League.
Brighton are also reportedly keeping tabs on the 23-year-old midfielder [Radio Diblu FM].
He is one of the most “expensive” midfielders in the country and would cost in the region of around £6m, which Leeds can pay without any problem.
Unlikely

Jesse Marsch has added two central midfielders while Brendan Aaronson operates as an attacking midfielder.
Unless Leeds decide to offload Mateusz Klich, there’s no chance that the Whites will move for another midfield even if he is available at a decent price.
Yes, the amount quoted for him won’t be a problem for the Whites to pay, but they don’t really need to add another midfielder to their ranks.
Marsch wants to add a striker and a left-back before the end of the window. The club must not spend money on the player who is unlikely to become a regular starter.
There are pressing issues elsewhere, and the Whites must focus on that.
Having said that, Marsch has refused to confirm whether Klich will stay put beyond the summer. if he leaves, the door could be left open for the Ecuadorian to make a switch to Elland Road.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites now have a clear run to sign a £20m-rated left-back as their Premier League rivals have now bowed out of the race.
