Leeds United in talks with Pablo Hernandez over a friendly next summer

Leeds United are speaking to Pablo Hernandez about potentially playing a friendly against CD Castellon next summer.

According to Castellon Plaza, the Whites are speaking to the 36-year-old about playing a friendly against Hernandez’s new club next summer.

It is claimed that many Leeds fans have already attended some of Castellon’s games this season, and Hernandez himself thinks it is a good idea.

He said: “It would be incredible to be able to experience that, but I think that if the circumstances arise, it can surely be done.

“When I spoke with Leeds about saying goodbye and specifically about my departure, the issue came up, and the idea is to be able to do it.

“Hopefully, it will be for the centenary, next summer; it would be something impressive to be able to experience it, incredible for me … I hope it happens! “.

A lovely gesture from Leeds.

If this is arranged, we think it would be a lovely gesture from the Whites to a player who served them well over the years.

The Spaniard was a crucial part of Marcelo Bielsa’s promotion-winning side of the 2019/20 season, and you would think a friendly between Castellon and the Whites would be a nice thing.

Hernandez made more appearances for Leeds than any other club, and it is clear that he wants to see this friendly happen, and we are sure that many Leeds fans would support that idea as well.

The former Swansea City man was a loyal servant to the Whites, and this could be the least that the club could do to repay his loyalty and commitment to the cause.

Of course, it could take a while to sort out, but we will keep an eye on any developments and will provide information as and when we get it.

In other Leeds United news, Charlie Cresswell makes an odd claim on other Premier League players.
