Leeds United in talks with agent to sign Trabzonspor captain Ugurcan Cakir
Leeds United are reportedly in talks with the agent of Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir to sign him in the summer.
According to the Turkish media outlet Fanatik, the Whites will be rivalled for the services of the Turkey international and club captain by Sevilla and Newcastle.
Trabzonspor expect a fee in the region of £17million if they are to part ways with the 25-year-old in the summer.

Baffling
Why do Leeds even need to sign a new keeper this summer when Illan Meslier is doing so well?
Even as a number two, Kristoffer Klaesson proved that he’s up for the job when he came off the bench against Wolves.
Both keepers are in their early 20s so even the thought that a replacement should be considered for them is baffling.
Meslier does not seem unsettled in the least at Elland Road and he’s already becoming a fan favourite.

Marcelo Bielsa showed great faith in him despite him making errors initially and that’s paid off immensely.
Not only is the Frenchman a terrific shot stopped but he’s so calm with the ball at his feet as well.
He’s the ideal keeper for building out from the back and it remains to be seen how Jesse Marsch fancies using him.
As for the Turkish keeper, it just seems to be something driven up by the local media to put pressure on the club into offering him a new deal.
