Leeds United in sudden boost in Charles De Ketelaere race as Brugge begin to lose patience

Club Brugge are now more keen to do business with Leeds United as they look to sell Charles De Ketelaere, according to Dean Jones via Give Me Sport.

Italian champions AC Milan have been trying to sign the 21-year-old for much of the 2022 summer but they are still below the asking price of the Belgian champions and their patience is wearing thin.

Leeds, meanwhile, have made a substantial offer for the Belgian international and Jones now believes that Brugge would prefer to enter talks with the Whites.

“Leeds definitely like the player and, from what I understand, Brugge are getting towards the stage where they’d actually rather do business with Leeds than AC Milan now because they feel the deal would suit them better and could be done more seamlessly,” Jones said.

Get excited

It has been the saga that seemed like it would never end and it is still very much up in the air but maybe now is the time for Leeds United fans to get excited.

De Ketelaere may have preferred a move to Milan to play Champions League football, understandably so, but if Victor Orta can put a lucrative offer in front of him then he may just fancy moving to Yorkshire.

And he is one of Europe’s most talked about young talents that could be the main man for Belgium in the future having already made a number of appearances for the Red Devils, as they are known.

The Champions League experience he already has could be the catalyst Marsch needs to help his current squad go from one that is mid-table Premier League to potential European challengers and cup winners if they all stay injury free all season.
